Workflows, Repairing & Enhancing Audio with iZotope at IBC 2016

Director of Product Management, Rob D'Amico, iZotope, provides insight into how iZotope is creating educational materials and tools that they believe will improve audio for the broadcast and post community.

Q What are you most excited to see at IBC 2016?

A Audio of course! As an audio technology company, we are always interested to see what will be next in the world of broadcast as it relates to sound and new media.

Q What new products/services is your company showcasing this year?

A The focus for this year’s IBC is going to be on workflows and showing users how to best repair and enhance their audio. Here at iZotope we have spent much of 2016 focusing on creating educational materials and tools that we believe will improve audio for the broadcast and post community.

Q What are some upcoming/popular trends from the world of broadcast and content creation that you think might make a big impact at the show?

A Mobility, speed, and globalization continue to impact our industry. Considering the Olympics will have come and gone by the show, we expect to see how technology has grown to meet the growing demands around these themes.

Q Any events you're particularly excited about attending/throwing at the show? Which ones?

A We always love attending the SuperMeet: each year we look forward to interacting with this great community of people.

Q How do you constantly reinvent yourself at IBC each year?

A It has never been about reinventing ourselves for IBC, rather we think of each show as a chance to prove to both prospective and current users that we understand their issues and that we are innovating in service of their needs.

Q How are you planning to make this year's IBC the best yet?

A Last year was our first time exhibiting at IBC, and we were happy to share a stand with our Belgian distributor, Amptec. As a United States-based company, participating in show like IBC helps us learn more about how different international facilities, customers, and partners receive and use our products. Getting this perspective has helped us tailor everything from our demonstrations to our marketing collateral. This year, we have taken our learnings from the past and are ready to make even stronger connections with our global community. We invite and encourage attendees to connect with us at Stand 8.D70.
