SmallHD Launches Camera Control for RED DSMC2 on Cine 7 Monitors
Creative Solutions is adding even more functionality for cinematographers to their powerful SmallHD Cine 7 line of on-camera touchscreen monitors. Now available for purchase, this new software license enables real-time configuration of RED DSMC2 cameras directly through the Cine 7’s touchscreen interface.
RED Digital Cinema Adds HELIUM and GEMINI Sensor Options To RANGER Camera System
RED DIGITAL CINEMA® announced today that its award-winning HELIUM® 8K S35 and GEMINI® 5K S35 sensors will be incorporated into the RED RANGER® camera ecosystem. These two new alternatives create a robust lineup for creators who prefer an integrated, all-in-one system to the more modular RED DSMC2® camera. The RANGER HELIUM 8K S35 and RANGER GEMINI 5K S35 is available now via RED’s global network of resellers, participating rental houses, and directly through RED. The cameras will be on display for the first time at IBC in the RED meeting room on the fourth floor of the Elicium at the RAI Amsterdam, from September 13-17.

Bright Tangerine announces Canon EOS C500 Mark II Left Field Cage
Bright Tangerine has announced a new Left Field Camera Cage for the newly announced Canon EOS C500 Mark II full-frame cinema camera.Bright Tangerine was invited to work with Canon to develop a cage system at the same time that the camera was being developed. The new EOS C500 Mark II camera fitted with the Left Field Cage will be displayed at IBC 2019, in Amsterdam from September 13-17 at Canon (Hall 12, Booth D60) as well as Bright Tangerine (Hall 12, Booth E69).
NUGEN Audio Unveils New Navigable Alert Solution For VisLM at IBC 2019
NUGEN Audio is pleased to present the newest updates to its VisLM loudness metering software at IBC 2019 (Pod F.P37). Long considered the industry standard for loudness metering, VisLM now offers a ‘Flag’ feature that builds upon the Alert functionality found in previous versions of the plug-in. This will allow users to navigate through True Peak and short-term/momentary loudness alerts, as well as manual flags for other points of interest. Included with the update is the latest maximum loudness range (LRA 18) for its Netflix preset that will benefit forward-thinking productions supplying content to the SVOD platform.
